The Marinduque State College (formerly Marinduque Institute of Science and Technology) Torrijos Campus was established under MIST BOT Resolution No. 6, s. 1985. This resolution authorized the opening of a course in the School of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Secondary Department. This School actually started its first year of operation on June 17, 1986 at Poblacion, Torrijos, Marinduque. The campus was headed by then Officer-in-charge (OIC) Respecio A. Javier pioneered the organization and opening of classes that were held in classrooms adjacent to Torrijos Central School.

  • Physico-chemical characterization and efficacy assessment of wood vinegar extracted from different locally grown tree species with pesticide and plant growth- promoting properties

Collaborations and Partnerships

The College of Agriculture participated in the different programs offered by AAACU such as sending of agriculture students to Student Enhancement Program (SEP) since 2023. Faculty attended short-term trainings and participated in the seminar and conferences offered by AAACU. Moreover, the College of Agriculture has also collaboration with the Kansas State University, National Agencies such as DOST-PCAARRD, Department of Agriculture, DENR, SEARCA, DILG, Agricultural and Training Institute (ATI-RTC), DA-BAR, Cavite State University, CHED, and Local Government Unit (LGU).
